Minimalist windows in Brussels: more light, less frame
A minimalist window is a frame that steps aside to let the view in. In Brussels, Walloon Brabant and across Belgium, Pure Concept designs, manufactures and installs ultra-slim aluminium windows — sliding, casement, pivot — for houses that breathe.
What is a minimalist window?
A standard aluminium or PVC window shows 10 to 15 cm of frame around the glass. A minimalist window reduces the visible part to a few centimetres — down to 2 cm where two sliding sashes meet — and hides everything else in the masonry: outer frame, rails, rollers, drainage. At equal size, it lets in up to 20% more light.
The systems we install
We work with the most accomplished European systems (Cortizo COR Vision Plus, Alu-Steel), chosen for the slimness of their profiles and their certified thermal and acoustic performance.
- Sliding with 20 mm interlock, invisible threshold and pocket option.
- Casement with concealed sash and hidden handle — the look of steel, the insulation of thermally broken aluminium.
- Monumental pivot doors with invisible hinges.
- Frameless glass railings.
Renovation or new build
In renovation we replace existing windows and enlarge openings where the structure allows. In new builds we work from the plans with your architect so the frames disappear into the masonry. Every project starts with a visit.
Price
Price depends on the system, dimensions, glazing, finish and installation. A minimalist window costs more than a standard one — it is a made-to-measure architectural product, manufactured in 6 to 8 weeks. We quote in detail after the visit, without obligation.
