04Balustrade, handrail, guard rail: the glass solutions
Glass balustrade, glass handrail, balcony or terrace guard rail: whatever the name, the principle is a toughened laminated glass panel held by an aluminium profile. Three families exist: glass clamped in a floor profile (recessed or surface-mounted), the railing integrated with the window in front of a French door or opening sash, and point-fixed glass for stairs and mezzanines. Without posts or a compulsory handrail, it suits a contemporary façade as well as a renovated town house.

06Frequently asked questions
Not necessarily: depending on configuration and height, glass alone can suffice.
No: toughened laminated glass stays in place even if cracked.
Yes, surface-mounted on the slab or recessed if the thickness allows; we check on site.
Yes, subject to study: curved glass is made to measure for the radius, with its own cost and lead time. We validate feasibility with the manufacturer before quoting.
The integrated railing, fixed to the outside of the frame: the French door opens fully, in complete safety, and the glass stays almost invisible from inside.
